Good Wednesday everyone! Today’s Share Your Page is a story we all need to hear, this is the story of a disease that has affected my family, as well as many, many others.
Around 300,000 children are currently diagnosed with juvenile arthritis*. Despite being one of the most common childhood illnesses in the United States there is a severe lack of treatment options for these kids. Lack of research and medicine shortages have affected these kids, many of whom are often in so much pain they cannot walk or do the things children are supposed to be able to do. When I found out that medicine shortages were causing a lot of children to receive sub par treatment I was appalled. How does that even happen?
Courtney knows exactly what I’m talking about, her son has been fighting this debilitating disease for years. This is a story that needs to be shared so she’s blogged about it along the way.
