Anyone who knows my family knows that we’re a little bit in love with all things Disney.

Don’t believe me? Check out the Valentine’s Day gift hubby & I gave each other.

Do you want to know why we’re so Disney crazy? Because of moments like these:

Yeah, we’re a little Disney Crazy. I was so excited to be invited to host a DisneySide at Home Party! How perfect for us? Jason, the kids and I opened our box of goodies and then sat down and planned out our party. We decided to have a “Disney Love” themed party and we would hold it on Valentine’s Day. We were so excited!! We planned a menu based on our favorite foods at Walt Disney World (recipes at the bottom of this post), a makeover station, and a photo booth.

And then life happened. In early February my family went on an impromptu weekend away, leaving my adult child home as she had to work. She called that weekend to tell me that she had a sore throat and was going to the walk-in clinic. We got home a few days later and I took one look at her and said “this isn’t right” and told her that if our doctor couldn’t fit her in we were going to the ER. This started a spiral of daily doctor visits and two hospitalizations that lasted 3 weeks. It’s still not over, she has some specialist visits coming up. So, instead of having our well-thought out fabulous party we had to settle for a toned-down version during which she slept.

It turned out ok, though. Instead of having one day of party fun we had two! It started with a pizza party and an appearance by Mr. & Mrs. Incredible! Not to be outdone, my 10 year old son decided to make his own Dash shirt! This kid is crazy creative!

The next day my 11 and 10 year old kids made the awesome tie dye Duff cake (Yes, THAT Duff!) in the Wilton Mickey Mouse cake pan, how fun is that? They added some frosting and sprinkles, and then more sprinkles ;) And when they were done I was very thankful for the ALL Might Pacs laundry detergent (seriously, that’s GOOD stuff!)

While we did have to change plans and party on a much smaller scale we really had a lot of fun. Hosting a DisneySide at Home Party just reinforced our love of all things Disney.
