Today’s Share Your Page featured site is one that is close to our home and hearts.

The Sunshine Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that exists to provide dream wishes to chronically ill, seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children.

The Sunshine Foundation was started in 1976 by Bill Sample, a Philadelphia police officer who was stationed as a guard at a children’s hospital. After seeing how parents struggled to provide the basics and pay for medical treatment, he decided to give these families the gift of a lifetime; he’d grant the child’s wish.

The Sunshine Foundation provides many types of wishes, including adaptive equipment and vacations. Nestled in the heart of Florida is the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village, a community of cottages providing a home-away-from-home for families who visit the central Florida theme parks for their wish.

The Sunshine Foundation depends on donors and volunteers to keep the organization running. Take a look at their website and see the good things that are happening!
